Blue elephant is located in the 43, rue de la Roquette. There are 17 chefs. At this branch of a chain of Thai restaurants, the decor evokes the jungles of Southeast Asia, interspersed with sculptures and paintings. The menu items are succulent, infused with lemon grass, curries, and the aromas that make Thai cuisine distinctive. Examples are a salad made with pomelo (a citrus fruit larger and tarter than a grapefruit), studded with shrimp and herbs; salmon soufflé served in banana leaves; and grilled fish with passion fruit.
