Paris metro

It is an underground net made up of 16 lines labelled with numbers from 1 to 14 and two minor lines called 3bis and 7bis. This metro is the third biggest of Europe (first comes the London metro and then the Madrid metro). It works from 5:30am to 12:30am.
It is part of the RER (Réseau Express Regional). The metro is composed of 211 km of railway track; it has 380 stops and 3500 trains. 
The starting point of the net is the Châtelet-Les Halles station (the biggest metro station of the world).

 

 


To use the Metro you have to buy the ticket. This ticket can also be used with the RER and the buses. If you take the metro and then you want to take the RER you have to do it with the same ticket.
The price of the ticket is 1.50 euros
The metro accepts the Visit Paris card or the Carte Orange.
The metro runs from 5:30am to 00:30am.
