It is an underground net made up of 16 lines labelled with numbers from 1 to 14 and two minor lines called 3bis and 7bis. This metro is the third biggest of Europe (first comes the London metro and then the Madrid metro). It works from 5:30am to 12:30am.
It is part of the RER (Réseau Express Regional). The metro is composed of 211 km of railway track; it has 380 stops and 3500 trains.
The starting point of the net is the Châtelet-Les Halles station (the biggest metro station of the world).
