Paris Bus

It is a very easy way of getting around and a great way to discover the city. It’s pretty similar to the metro but you will get a better view with this one. There are details of the first and last departures, and the average waiting time between buses. This service can have some delays due to the traffic that does not happen with the metro.
Nowadays there are 58 lines and a wide variety of routes, many of which go though the city centre and also suburbia areas.
Numbers of the buses are clearly visible. The Paris buses carry a two-digit number between 20 and 96 and subrurban buses carry a three-digit number.

You can use the same ticket you use with the metro. If you chose to buy the Carte Orange card or the Paris Visite you just have to show it to the bus driver. If you don’t have any of these passes you have to buy the ticket that costs 1.50 euros. Remember to consider the zones you will go through. According to the distance the number of tickets you will need. Your pass should include all the zones crossed.
The service is available from 5:30am until 10:30pm or even 12:30am. If it is too late remember you have a plus. After 12:30am the Noctilien network covers many of the most important points of Paris during the whole night.
