This service is called "Noctilien". They replace buses, the metro, RER and some Ile-de-France trains. It operates in the greater Paris area every night from 12:30am to 5:30am. Due to the increase demand there are more buses during the weekends.
There are 2 "circular" routes , one in each direction in central Paris, which link up 4 main stations for bus connections (Gare de Lyon, Gare de l'Est, Gare Saint-Lazare and Gare Montparnasse) and numerous night spots (Champs-Elysées, Saint-Germain-des-Près, Bastille, Pigalle, etc.).
There are 9 routes running from suburb to suburb, referred to as "cross" routes and 31 outward services. The two lines with two numbers are from RATP and will guarantee you the direct link by bus to the first belt. The three-digit lines are from Transilien SNCF and will link you directly or semi-directly with the second belt. |
