The wine museum in Paris (Musée du Vin Paris) is located next to the Eiffel Tower, more precisely in the basement of the Passy’s abbey.
The museum opened its door in 1984. Previously this basement was used as the wine cellar of the Eiffel tower’s restaurant. Inside it you will find a fabulous reconstruction of the French wine, including antique wine press, a big collection of appliances and also scenes set up by wax toys that illustrate the wine production in different ages.
You will also appreciate here production techniques and histories about the Borgoña and champagne.

You thought that it was all about France? Wrong, because you will also learn about the history if wine in the world, Greeks, Romans andPhoenicianin in former times and actual times. It includes an immense collection of wine bottles.
For those wine lovers there is also a wine tasting. You only have to decide your favourite!
The museum is open every day from 10:00hs to 18:00hs.
The prices are:
Adults: 8.90 euros
Pensioners: 7.50 euros
Students: 7 euros
Kids under the age of 14 do not pay.
