Musée de l'Armée

Musée de l'Armée

The Musée de l'Armée (army museum) is located in the hospice that Luis XIV ordered to construct for disabled people at war.
It was founded in 1905 after the union of the Artillery Museum and the Army History Museum. It presents all the military history since the prehistory until nowadays in documents, uniforms, arms and other antiques.
In June 2000 new saloons were opened dedicated especially to the Gaulle general, the Second World War and the French resistance. This place also includes 2 buildings located very close to each other: the Saint-Lois des Invalids church, decorated with military trophies, and the l'église du Dôme, where the Napoleon tomb is.
The monuments and museums pass is accepted.
