La Défense is a major business district located in the west of Paris, straddling the municipalities of Nanterre, Courbevoie and Puteaux. The 1km long journey is not usually visited by tourists although it has cosmopolitan streets and gardens full of modern art pieces. This district holds many of the Paris urban area's tallest high-rises and it is also the most important business district of Europe. The Eiffel Tower is the highest tower reaching the 187m of height.
