Carte Orange

The Carte orange Hebdomadaire (weekly) is a pass for the public transportation system where you use the transport net Ile-de-France. You can choose the zones you want to go to and the number of trips is unlimited during the whole week (valid from Monday to Sunday) With Monthly Cartes Oranges you are available to travel for durations of one month, in case you are a user of this mean. Monthly Cartes Oranges are used the same way the others are but you will pay less for it.
The Carte d'orange itself is composed of a subway pass and an identity card, both of which are stored in a small plastic folder.
The identity card features a space in which the user must print his or her full name and, a space to which the user must affix a small photograph of him or herself and a space to fill out his or her full address.

The card and the pass have can only be used joined and only by the owner, not any other person. The pass only works in certain zones. The Ile-de-France is divided into 6 zones with different fares. To know your fare you should consider all the zones you have to go through, meaning the starting point, the track and the end of the journey.

Tickets are available at all stations of the Metro and RER as well as authorized shops and the Transilien stop.
