The Balzac Museum is located in the middle of the neighbourhood called Passy. The museum is the only left house of Balzac. The Parisian writer lived there from 1840 until 1847. Among the pieces he wrote in this place we can distinguish La Rabouilleuse, Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes ou encore, La Cousine Bette and Le Cousin Pons.
In the third floor you will find 5 bedrooms with an exceptional view of the garden.
The mansion was acquired by the government of Paris in the year 1949 to turn into a museum adding a library with information about this successful author. There are also personal stuff, manuscripts and everything you can ever imagine about this author’s life.
